So as you may or may not know, I'm a sales associate at Best Buy. It's a pretty good job, I get a good discount and it isn't too hard, get to talk to people all day which is nice. So on my way to work this morning I saw this firetruck down the street and smelled something burning in the distance. Apparently the fire got to the electrical grid one way or another and the power went out.
As you might imagine, it's pretty hard to get your job done at an electronics store without an electricity, so for the first hour and a half or so before the power came back on we all literally just sat around doing nothing. It was probably the best day of work ever. Unfortunately the power did eventually come back on and customers started showing up, but for that short amount of time, I got paid to do absolutely nothing whatsoever... and it was great.
